STEM is an acronym for the fields of study in the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
The AOLG STEM teacher is Mrs. Irene Pisciotta.
For the past few months the students in grades 5-8 have been investigating and working on solutions to solve real issues around the world. The goal was for the students to use Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics to devise possible solutions to better our world.
Grades Kindergarten through 4th have worked on Peace and Justice throughout the world. Together, the classes worked on individual information books and two outstanding murals.
On TUESDAY FEBRUARY 28TH, FROM 6-8PM, the school of AOLG hosted their STREAM expo. Faculty, parents, students and invited guest came to take a tour around the world and see the amazing future of love and help that the students at the Academy of Our Lady of Grace have strived using STREAM to create. It was a successful night and everyone enjoyed it.
A special thank you to Barbara Dolan for coming to see our STREAM expo that night and a very special thank you to all the individuals that volunteered their time to be judges for our students' projects. You all helped to make our first STEAM Expo experience a great one.
