week 0f 2/9/26-2/13/26IXL SKILLSIt is mandatory for students to practice on IXL for 15 minutes each day, Monday through Thursday, using any skill assigned in the “From Teacher” section (please see the photo for reference). Links will no longer be added, as all assigned skills can be found in one central location. This practice counts as a homework grade. Students have until Sunday to complete the current week’s practice. Four days of 15 minutes each equals a total of one full hour of weekly IXL practice.

Hello families,
I have been working on a supplemental website that is user-friendly, designed for both extra practice and advanced content. The site is newly created, so I am still in the process of adding materials. I will continue to update it periodically with content for Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, Science, and more.
The content will include a combination of YouTube videos, worksheets, and suggestions for educational websites and games. While my goal is to provide free resources, I will also make recommendations for families who would like to explore more advanced or subscription-based options.
I hope you find the site helpful! When exploring, please click on any item that says “click link.” If you only see subtitles, that content has not been added yet.

- PRESIDENT'S DAY FINAL DUE DATE MOVED TO 2/27/26 - NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE. Students can use flash cards, note cards, etc., for their oral presentation to avoid any jitters! The date was moved again as I want to students to enjoy their winter break and no work should be completed during their family time.

- Ear - Part of the body that helps a person hear.
- Sound - What is heard when the brain receives the signal from the ear.
- Sound Waves - Movements in solids, liquids, or gases caused by vibrations.
- Vibration - a back and forth motion.

Due 2/24/26 - Oral research with fun artifacts! Use note cards for oral presentation for students to read. Each student has an assigned number. Their number has their assigned president listed below. 
George Washington – first president and army leader (on the 1 dollar bill and the quarter)
Abraham Lincoln – tall president who wore a top hat (on the penny and the 5 dollar bill)
Thomas Jefferson – helped write the Declaration of Independence (on the 2 dollar bill and the nickel)
John Adams – helped start our country
James Madison – helped write the Constitution
James Monroe – president from long ago in early America
Andrew Jackson – soldier and strong leader (on the 20 dollar bill)
Ulysses S. Grant – leader in the Civil War (on the 50 dollar bill)
Theodore Roosevelt – loved nature, animals, and adventure
William Howard Taft – very big president with a fun bathtub story
Woodrow Wilson – president during World War I
Herbert Hoover – president when times were hard
Franklin D. Roosevelt – helped people during hard times (on the dime)
