The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation's premier organizations established to recognize outstanding high school and middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character (and Citizenship for NJHS).
Membership in this society helps promote recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, citizenship, service, and academic rigor.
Membership to the National Junior Honor Society is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a student. To be eligible for consideration for membership in the Academy of Our Lady of Grace Chapter of the NJHS, you must fulfill the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a 6th, 7th or 8th grade AOLG student
- Have to obtain a minimum B+ average in every subject in the first trimester.
- The personal development section of your first trimester report card must display either satisfactory (S) or outstanding (O) in each entry of every subject.
After you have been selected, you will be voted by the Faculty Council and then become an active member during a special induction ceremony.
If, after you have been inducted, your grade falls below a B+ average in any of the subjects, you will be given the duration of one trimester to restore it.
We commend you on your successful efforts so far, and encourage you to work hard and always do your best as we look forward to having you as a member in the next academic year.
