Vocabulary Words Week of 1/27/26 Unit 71. alarm- something that wakes people or warns them of danger. It could be a bell or a buzzer.
2. collect- to gather things together.
3. damp- a little wet or moist.
4. insect-a small animal with three main body parts, six legs, wings and no backbone.
5. plant- a living thing that grows in soil or in water.
6. safe- not in danger.
7. scatter-to throw things over a large area.
8. soil- the dirt or earth that plants grow in.
9. team- a group of people who work together or play together.
10. tool- a piece of equipment used to do a certain job. -
ScienceBalanced- When the weight of an object or objects are evenly spread out.
Beam- A long board that is placed on a fulcrum.
Equal- The same.
Fulcrum- The point that holds the beam up, and upon which is the beam moves up and down.
Weight-A unit of measurement for the heaviness of an object.
Unbalanced-When the weight of an object or objects are not evenly spread out. -
