Vocabulary Words Week of November 18th1. bright: gives a lot of light.
2. chew: break it into small pieces with your teeth.
3. flour: a powder made from grain. It is used to make bread, cakes, and pies.
4. forest: a large area that has trees and plants.
5. hour: sixty minutes long.
6. inn: a small place where a person can eat a meal and stay for the night. It is usually in the country.
7. island: a piece of land with water all around it.
8. nibble: when you eat something using very small bites.
9. pale: it has very little color.
10. warn: to tell a person about possible danger. -
Science Vocabulary
1. Balance indicator: A black needle that shows whether objects in the pans are balanced.
2. Balance pans: The two pans that hold objects.
3. Pan supports: Beam on which the pans rest.
4. Compare: To look for what is similar or different between objects.
5. Equilibrate the balance: Method used to "zero" the balance before comparing the weight of objects.
